Minutes
of the meeting June 20,
2005
Members/Staff
present: - Fr. Jack, Al Huber, Kevin
Lucia, Paul Lucia, Mary True, George
Arackaparambil, JoAnn Kozloski, Ngoc Anh Nguyen,
Gail Castro, John Sanchez
Following handouts were distributed by Al Huber :
-
- Agenda for current meeting
- Note: Minutes for previous month were not
presented - as George had missed the May meeting
and no formal minutes were prepared. To be
decided if we should collate notes from John and
other members and approve May minutes in our
next meeting.
- Meeting began with Opening Prayer by John
Sanchez
- Updates on various committees were provided
as below: -
- Finance (update
from Gail) - Annual appeal is
at 55%; Escrip provides $200/month but needs
more participation.
- Buildings &
Grounds (update from Al) - All
toilet seats in women's bathroom replaced ; In
process of getting bids for exterior painting;
Roof still has a leak that would need fixing
before the next rainy season.
- Catholic Formation
(update from Kevin) - Tuesday
faith formation group currently viewing the
Video Series on the Book of Revelation ;
Suggestions for Future Topics were collected
from participating members.
- Parish
Life - Parish retreat planned
for Sept 17 (8:30am-3:30pm) - theme to be
'Springtime of Evangelization'; Parish Directory
photo reservations will take place after masses
in July for sittings in August and September ;
Parish Picnic is slated for Sept 8th at
5:30pm.
- Public Affairs and
Social Justice - Vitae Caring
- another program scheduled by the organizers
for July 4th Weekend.
- New
Business
- Council recommends that the Parish Office
get a Cable modem for efficient Web processing
speeds. (DSL was not an option due to distance
limitations of the parish office from the
provider.)
- Parish Web site was introduced by Al to
members and feedback and suggestions were
solicited.
- Eagle scout, Adam Lee to build a shed for
the Parish for which he will solicit funds from
the parishioners.
- Donut Duty
List
- Was distributed by Kevin and filled in by
members present.
- Assignments
for next time
- Opening/Closing prayer at next meeting on
7/18/05 (Kevin)
- Meeting adjourned with Closing Prayer by
John Sanchez.
