Minutes
of the meeting July 18,
2005
Members/Staff
present: - Fr. Jack, Kevin Lucia,
Paul Lucia, Mary True, George Arackaparambil, JoAnn
Kozloski, Ngoc Anh Nguyen, John Sanchez, Gail

- Meeting was Chaired by John Sanchez (filling in
for Al Huber)
- Following handouts were distributed by John
Sanchez :
- Minutes of the last meeting
- Agenda for current meeting
- Meeting began with Opening Prayer by
Kevin
- Minutes for June were approved and John
would email May minutes for email approval.
- Updates on various committees were provided
as below: -
- Finance (update
from Gail) - $27,400
pending(30 people have made the 1% goal).
Finance council has a balanced budget as of now
(except for unknown painting costs).
- Buildings &
Grounds (update from Fr. Jack)
- Bids received for painting, one for $30,000,
two for $10,000 (but not as detailed) and one
for $15,800. The last bid was liked by Al, but
they do not have a union. Recommend going back
to $10,000 bidder and ask for a more detailed
bid and add fence painting. Somebody did call
but would like to look at property once again
with Al. Gravel laid for Adam Lee's shed. $12000
estimate by Comcast for Cable so dropped.
- Catholic Formation
(update from Kevin) - Lamb
Supper - Book of Revelations completed. Topics
collected for discussion, but not decided yet.
Footsteps of God video series being revisited
since new folks. Average attendance 15 per week.
Fr. Farisee coming Aug 18th, (will be at 5:00pm
Mass on 20th and 21st). Last Sunday is
Missionary cooperation.
- Parish
Life - Picnic set for
September 8th. 140 signups so far for Parish
Directory. Parish Retreat core team meetings
held. Mailings to be made to all parishioners
for retreat. Archdiocese will mail to all last
years donors who haven't donated this year. Gail
to follow-up. Planned giving seminar, Health
directive, Health/legal person will talk to
parish in October.
- Public Affairs
(update from Paul) - Foster
City Police having a Clergy referral program.
Fr. Jack has nominated Fr. Jonathan and Paul to
attend. Conference on 4th July went well though
Vitae caring did not participate.
- Social Justice
(update from John) - St. Peter
and Paul's Parish …. Bioethics rally on
stem cell research held ? - Sorry - I need to
clarify this bullet with John)

Donut Duty List
- Donut duty signup sheet was circulated
and filled.
- Assignments
for next time - No meeting
scheduled unless chair calls emergency. John to ask
Al to look at members terms expiring. (Sandra may
join the council - per Mary). George to do prayers
on September 18th (noon to 4 pm).
- Meeting was concluded with a closing Prayer
by Kevin.
