  • Four bids needed. Three of four were asked to give more details and rebid. The previous $10K came back at $32K and $23K and the previous $15.8K came back lower at $14.8K. Decided to select the one at $14.8K, Brucker & Company, which is non-union.
  • Exterior painting including gutter, side and fence will have 1 primer and 2 coat of paint. Currently, wood stain is used and the new paint will be solid coat stain.
  • Exterior will also be cleaned and acid wash for molds.
  • Solid coat paint for post and fence. Metal paint for gutter. Enamel for door. Paint from Kelly Moore and Cobalt.
  • Need someone to select colors. Contract has 12 hour limit to choose color once swatches are made.
  • Concern from Fr. Jack that the doors are checked and locked daily.

* Normal maintenance - loose fixtures.

* Shed is all built by Adam Lee except for ramp.

* Team requested sign in church for hymns.

* Dcn. Paul noted that the main church gets hot especially during the 5pm mass and suggested making window open outward to get more wind. Al suggested opening the skylight or opening the roof to let the hot air rise out but there is risk in leakage. Dcn. Mar will get an opinion from an engineer to recommend options.

* Nancy noted that Classroom 4 floor looks bad. There are tiles coming up and floor needs repair.

  • Catholic Formation (update from Kevin) -

* Topics for discussion collected but not decided yet.

* Retreat on Sept 17 went well and had about 50 attendees, which was lower than last year. Couple of people gave Al positive feedback and asked for more of this kind of retreat. Retreat away from St Luke may be challenging because we don't know how many will actually sign up and show up

* Blessing of Animals on Oct 2 at noon

* Parish Directory has 150 pictures. Some people missed their appointments and are asking for another retake. Josh is willing to come back for 2 days if 60 people sign up. Dcn. Paul will check on how many missed their appointments. Need to do activity pages but Josh will sit with someone to decide how to present them in the directory.

* Catholics for Common Good to support Prop 73 regarding parental notification on abortion.

* West Coast Walk for Life had a fundraiser at Manisti on Sept 10.
