- Minutes for September were approved with
name corrections for Peggy Culver, Sandra Patron
and Peggy Simkins and date correction for the Walk
of Life on January 21, 2006
- Updates on various committees were provided
as below:
- Finance (update

* Few responses to Archdiocese
letter and St. Luke letter sent out last
week

* $47K has pledged for Annual
Appeal, need $22.3K more

* Building painted but not invoiced
yet

|
|
* Estate Planning Seminar "Get Your
House in Order" on Oct 30 from 1-3:30pm by
Tom Poeschl. Flyer in this weekend
bulletin.

|
* Will provide Annual Parish Report
update on Oct 30
|
- Buildings &
Grounds (update from Al) -
|
|
* Painted church for $14.8K.
- Washed and primed with 2 coats
of paint as needed
- Some parishioners commented that
they wanted different color
|
|
|
* Fire department inspection
occurred Oct 17
- Light bulbs in emergency lights
to be replaced
- Electric sockets to be
replaced
- Request for smoke detectors.
Church currently has no sprinkler
system/detector but will look into
getting smoke detector/alarm.
- Cleaners cannot store broom/mop
in gas/water heater or electrical
closet.
* Sewer system was camera and found
to be filled with paper. System needs to
be cleaned out with high pressure water
jet.
* Fixed the leaking faucet in
kitchen.
* Microphones not working well. Need
good wire from sound system to the plugs
at the choir area. To talk to Bob
Fitzgerald.

- Catholic Formation
(update from Kevin) -

* Fr. Jack requested Fr. Faricy to
say Mass on his future visits on Dec 10
and May 18. Healing Masses on weekdays on
Oct 27 and sometimes in Apr, Aug and Dec
2006.

|
* A Sacramento man came to Faith
Formation after he saw information on St.
Luke website.
|
|
|
* Group started the Discussion
Companion DVD series. Did one on Moses and
will recap on Mary and Jesus.
|
- Liturgy (Update by
Dcn. Paul) -
|
|
* Picture from the Blessing of
Animals at St. Luke got captured in the
Foster City Islander newspaper. We had
about 70 people with their pets.

|
|
* Photo directory meeting on
Tuesday, Oct 18, at 4pm with Peg, Margaret
and Dcn. Paul. 26 more families want to
have their pictures taken. Josh agrees to
do it.

|
|
* Immaculate Conception on Dec 7 and
8. After the 7:30pm Mass, Bob Hurd and
Charles Rohrbacher will give a rosary
presentation. They will project icons on
the wall while praying the Joyful Mystery
with music.

- Parish Life (Update
from JoAnn by Gail and Peg) -

* Ministry Fair on Nov 13. Al
volunteered for 9 and 10:30 Masses. Need
volunteers at 5 Mass.
|
|
|
* Peg will be at SOS.
|
|
|
* Gail to have envelopes for
registration update.
|
|
|
* Name tags for parishioners as part
of hospitality improvement.

- Public Affairs

- Social Justice
(update from John) -

|
* Life Legal Defense Fund dinner is
$100 per person.

|

* Prop 73: Parental Notification-
John to exchange info with Carolyn Colburn
who is on the other side of the social
justice.

|
|
* Respect for Life Baby Shower got
many items donated. Items went to
pregnancy center, St. Vincent de Paul, and
other individuals/places.

* Continue discussion from last
month planning meeting
- Desire to continue doing the
similar activities as last
